Custard Italian Recipe
1. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar in a large bowl, until thick and creamy. Set this over hot, but not boiling, water and do not let the bowl touch the water.
2. Beat constantly with a rotary beater, adding the wine, 1 teaspoon at a time, until the mixture begins to thicken and hold its shape.
